Most labs mill polypropylene shells on flat routers, but those machines can’t carve the under-cuts required for a true UCBL—the deep heel cup and high medial/lateral flanges that lock the foot in place. Hand-forming allows our technicians to create the precise anatomical shape your child’s feet need for optimal correction and durability.
By capturing the heel in a 30 mm cup and supporting the arch with extended flanges, the device realigns the foot’s bones and joints into a more normal position.
